Not even close to getting Laine... try changing those 2nd's to 1st's and not taking on Drouin and adding in a Top Prospect like Caufield or Suzuki

Something along the lines of

Winnipeg Gets:
Suzuki
Petry
Juulsen
2020 1st
2021 Cdnt'l 2nd (Upgrades to first if Laine scores 40 goals or has 70 points)
2022 3rd

Montreal Gets:
Laine

I don't watch Montreal, but is Suzuki ready to be a 2nd line center? I'd think Winnipeg would want back someone who is roster proven like Domi. Something like Suzuki, Domi, 1st, and a 3rd?

I mean even that might be high, Laine hasn't reached 35+ goals or 65+ points in the last two seasons. I'm not saying he's a bad player at all, BUT, he's inconsistent and has been on a slight decline the last two seasons points wise. I think Winnipeg fans (I don't know if you are) over hype him a little too much. This coming from a person who lives in Winnipeg

Agreed his numbers declined the last 2 years but was on pace for 35 goals this year and probably could have hit close to 40 had he not been injured. On top of that, if you watched him this year, you'd see that his defensive game grew immensely from previous seasons. He's developed in to an all around Power Forward.

As for Domi, i think he would be a nice get, but i think he is far more inconsistent with up and down seasons and Winnipeg would be better off filling that role from within or the draft. But i think i could be persuaded on him.

3 years of an underachieving Drouin; 1 year of Petry and 2 second rounders for Laine? that's straight up brutal IMO

Laine had 63 points in 68 games before the stoppage which is a 75 point season in 82 games, so thats considered a decline now? lol

If anything Laine is under appreciated in Winnipeg and doesn't get enough hype, quite a dumb fan base to be honest, they loved Tanev but was ready to ship Laine out for whatever, didn't care much about the return, yeah that's a really knowledgeable hockey market... 😂
