3 teams I see getting Laf for various reasons

Toronto --> The signs and season seem to be leading to it, plus Matthews may not recover
Montreal --> two 8 game losing streaks yeah they need help
Columbus --> they need a star to rally around

Idk. I think AM34 will recover and play 100% next season

oh he will but we dont know if he comes in time for training and will be in shape for the playoffs. Waiting for an update announcing he is fully healthy and coming up for practice. Cause with Arizona being a hot zone Dubas should get him out ASAP

TBH, i kinda want The leafs to lose the play-in. Then they get a shot at Laffy. even if Toronto wins the cup this year, 2020 will always have an asterisk beside it. ppl will say 'Ya you won, but you won in the covid year.'

Two ways this goes imo,
One it’s NOT RIGGED so anyone gets him but the stars seem to be aligned for mtl to get the French star they desperately need.
Two it IS RIGGED so he either goes to mtl a French star going to mtl helping them maybe make the playoffs year in and out or he goes to a struggling market like Florida to maybe bring them out of the ****ter

Those trades are all bad for MTL. We don’t need to get rid of Alzner. We can just bury him. Trading Mete and a 2nd to get rid of his contract isn’t worth it for us. We shouldn’t really trade Petry yet unless we are really bad this season. If we do, he is worth way more than Kapanen. IMO he is worth a first and a good prospect. Same thing with Tatar. If he gets dealt to Carolina for Bean, the pick would be a 2021 first, not a second. He scored liked 70 points last year on a bad MTL team. Petey was also our best dman by a mile behind Weber and when Weber was injured he played like a tank. He’s valuable, especially as a RHD. Also, there is no reason
that Juulsen should be getting 1M dollars He should prob get 800-925k for one year to prove himself. I’d we were to trade Petry l, I wouldn’t sign Barrie long term since we have some RHD prospects coming up that can take his spot in 2 years. Domi would probably want 6.5M on a 6+ year deal at least and Evans isn’t worth 1M yet. I would sign him at 900k for one year or 950k for two years. Thompson and Khudobin are great signings for us. Danault should probably be playing in the top 6 as he is our best center for now. He is a consistent 55 pts defensive playmaker that is a leader in the room. he is a lock to play top 6 until KK breaks out.
