Don't really care tbh. No matter how you try to say Ovi sucks, He's still a richard winner, and 100% a top 10 player.

Show me stats over the last 2 years where he is better.Only goals Matthews is better.Even strengh points ,defence,PPG Panarin destroys him everywhere.Matthews plays better position and with better players.The leafs fans have to come down.

Well, it's very close. Right now, I'd say they are equal. But Matthews is younger, so I gave the edge to him. (And I'm a leafs fan, so maybe slightly biased, lol)

You’re entitled to your opinion, but most people would disagree with you. The stats (and eye test) support Sid is still better than Mackinnon and Malkin is still top 10. You say they are getting older yet you put Ovi in the top 10...

Thank you for bringing this up. Ovi recently is one of the more overrated players in the NHL. Yes sure he’s a goal scoring machine but that’s literally all he can do. There’s a lot of guys I’d take over him now. He’s really one dimensional

I realize Ovi is getting older. In these players prime, I would have put him 2, with Sid #1. Malkin would have been top 5. But this is now, And those guys are 1/2 the players they used to be. Still elite, but not as good as they were.

I like Sid better than Ovi, but it is hard to deny that man's ability to score. He's the best in the league at that.

If I was building a team as of right now, yes I’d take malkin over Ovi. He does so much more than just score goals. But it’s debatable. Which is why malkin deserves to be top 10

Ovi is 10 times the player Malkin is. Malkin is good, don't get me wrong, but the impact Ovi has, Ovi takes the cake.

That is just not true. Ovi is great, malkin is great. They are comparable. And the underlying numbers FAVOUR malkin by a landslide. Malkin is top 10. You can debate him vs Ovi 100%.

LOLOL! Where did I say Ovi "sucks"?? I said he's one dimensional, which is true. He doesn't drive play like he used to and there's nothing unexpected about that: he's 34. He's still a good player and amazing at doing what he does best, but he's not a top-10 player in the league anymore.

Go for it. Like I said Ovi may be better than malkin. I’m not denying that. But it’s not clear cut. If you put Ovi in your top 10, geno deserves a spot as well
