Description
Lehner would probably won’t more but I’d never pay more then like 7m on a goalie and he’s not better then Hellebuyck so should get paid more either.

Is Neal CBO’d? And the downfall with signing Lehner is would we be able to sign Nugent-Hopkins and Yamamoto?

Yes, and yes with Chiasson leaving and some smaller contracts out of the way would work maybe would lose Larsson but in reality I wouldn’t sign lehner would probably go for like khudobin just made this for fun.

Russell will not waive his NMC to go to Anaheim. Bear signing is premature - he’s had only one good season. A bridge deal at 2-3M x two or three years is more appropriate. As a CBO is unlikely to materialize you’ll have to buy out Neal at a cost of 1.9Mx6, trade him for another unpalatable contract, or retain salary, perhaps both. Khaira has some value - we could maybe get a 3rd or 4th rounder for him - no need to just give the guy away. Like the Jost trade and the Maroon signing.

Holland will not spend $$$ on Lehner when the upgrade from Koskinen is marginal. He doesn't like spending big money on starters unless they're elite (Hasek, for instance), if you look at his history in Detroit you'll see what I mean.

Thought it was clear this wasn’t very realistic doubt there is a cbo so that was Neal and Russell was for any team as a cheap option after bonus is paid we’d be lucky to get a 5th for khaira. Also bridge deals aren’t really ideal would rather just sign him long term most the time for bridge it never benefits the team we are gonna end up having to pay more.. maybe a bad example but look at laine bridge.. now the jets are probably gonna be looking at about 10+m

Russell has a 15 team trade list so he probably will be traded this off season.
I would sign Bear long term the kid is going to be a stud!
CBO probably wont happen for Neal. But hopefully Ken can work some magic and trade him. Lucic was untradable and somehow he was traded.

Man that goalie tandem is expensive. Maybe too much
I don't think russell is traded because of his big cap hit
