If there wasn't an expansion draft coming I would like it for both teams. However this just keeps the same problems for both teams once expansion draft comes

I like this trade a lot. I'm not worried about the expansion draft on our defense, because Parayko won't need protection, and we only have to protect petro, flower, and gunnerson. I'm fine with letting Bouwmeester go in the expansion draft of they want him.

I don't hate the trade, especially from the Blues perspective, but Anaheim is looking for Fowler to command a top shelf LW to play with Getlaf and Perry, and we all know Bergie just isn't that guy...in fact Silferberg is closer to being that guy. And for the record they would never protect Gunnarsson over Bouwmeester.

Shattenkirk for Fowler about even. Silvenberg for Berglund about even. Why does Anaheim give up a first rounder too?
I even think Fowler has more value than Shattenkirk due Shatt's UFA, and Silvenberg I like better than Berglund.

How does switching Fowler and Shattenkirk make any sense for either team, Anaheim has an internal budget Shattenkirk wants around $6.5 million to $7 million per long term and Anaheim will be giving big money to Lindholm. Plus Shattenkirk wants to play of the East Coast not West Coast and Fowler will be demanding big money in 2 years or so as much as what Shattenkirk will be making.
