IR Gaborik and you're fine for cap

Strutzle has already been playing pro hockey, Byfielf hasn't. Think it's more likely he is ready and not Byfield

Byfield will be in the NHL next year, unless a team outside the top 7 gets lucky and gets him. He has NHL level size, speed, shot and skill and he hasn't even turned 18. He should be using this time to fill out his frame, 6'4 215 is big but he can add 10 pounds of muscle and be a beast.

If he goes to Detroit, Ottawa, LA, Anaheim or Buffalo, he'll play. NJ maybe not right away as Hischier/Hughes still need to develop as centres as well. But he's certainly going to be NHL ready by the time next season starts.

I think they're both in the NHL next season

Assuming Ottawa drafts both, who gets bumped? Players like Nick Paul, Logan Brown, Rudolfs Balcers aren't likely going back and forth all year. Norris and Batherson are locks. I hope we don't bring in any UFA's.
