Neither K'Andre Miller nor the 21st overall from Carolina plus the 16th overall of yours gets you to 5th overall. Maybe 9th, maybe 8th, but not 5th.

Eh. LD depth is incredible. Lindgren fits well on the second pair, Robertson and Jones both have top 4 potential, third pairings at worst. Rykov and Hajek both top 6 potential. Tony will probably play LD on the first pairing. No less we have the 22 pick and another pick in the 2nd round if we really need another LD prospect (we dont). Miller had a down year too and im afraid he wont be able to play the first pairing.

Swap Miller with Strome.

Madden, Turcotte, Thomas all centers, Kaliyev a LW. What do the kings need with another elite center. a top 4 LD prospect , which the kings need, a 13th and 23rd pick give the kings much more good players to add depth.

Not saying this trade is good, far from it, but rangers fans seem to have gone way too far with their labeling of miller as a can’t miss guy. He’s a solid prospect, but i think his future is very uncertain..like most prospects.

what would you change? i thought about it and changed it to the Sabres since theyre in a less complete rebuild mode

can only see the kings doing this unless drysdale is not on the board. Could also see them taking raymond instead of trading it.

I don't see the elite center (now the entire trade is gone) but neither Miller plus 16 overall nor 21 (let alone 23) overall plus 16 overall = 5th overall.

the sabres trade is probably the most realistic way of the rangers moving up in the draft. Assuming that the sabres are tired of losing and want a player now.

I don't think the Rangers deal Georgiev for any less than a 1st. They kept him through the deadline and seemed to side with him over Lundqvist as the season progressed (he finished the year with the most starts on the team)

Would think you take the current Georgiev for 2nd, and add the Sens 2020 2nd and you're in the ballpark
