I'm assuming Patrick and Lindblom are injured. Carter is the perfect replacement for Nolan.

I actually think this is a good trade value wise, just depends how Frost does in training camp. Like how LA retained $.

I wouldn't move Laughton unless it was for a mid 1st round pick and I highly doubt many teams will match that price. He's more valuable on Philadelphia than whatever the return for him would be.

He's also pretty expensive for that role and they need cap space to resign Hart, Sanheim, Niskanen, Lindblom, and Patrick. Thompson is a cheap, perfect 4th line center.

He would be expiring after the 2021 season. I would rather have him than move players/picks to get Carter if there were concerns about the cap.
