They’re actually all fair. The cirelli one is a little steep but he’d be habs best centre they’ve had in maybe decades. He’s a legit talent. Tampa will not move him unless it’s an overpay. If habs want cirelli, they’ll have to overpay

I view the trade as KK might be as good as Cirelli in the future and Philip Danault will replace Cirelli as 2c. The Ylonen is their for an overpay. I thought it was a pretty fair trade

Big overpay for Cirelli, sure he’s a great player but I’d be willing to bet his numbers are inflated playing on a stacked TB team. Danault is establishing himself as a top tier two way centre and his offensive is improving, KK had a set back this year but is still only 20 so give him two years and he can be just as good as Cirelli or better. Ylonen is developing nicely and could be a nice top 9 with top 6 potential. Habs are way better off keeping these three players. Also if we really wanted him an offer sheet is the way we would go.

I really think you're on to something with Danault + for Cirelli. It seems a little steep to me but the end of the day something like that could definitely work out. I would assume TBL would try to get an extension done with Danault before but he would be a perfect middle 6 centre for them. Wouldn't give up Kotkaniemi just yet but would add some picks and prospects, maybe Mete? Mete could be a cheap young D for them, wouldn't cost too much and an upgrade on a pick (90th to 39th) to restock after moving Foote, and both 1st rounders.

Danault (agrees to extension with TBL, and 50% retained for next season) + Mete + 2020 2nd for Cirelli (agrees to $6.5M x 5 years with MTL) + 2020 3rd.
