Good size, no offensive or puck moving skills, so this is just a token Marlie contract, as he doesn't fit Dubas mold.
Nohate a aimé ceci.

So on top of not watching the Leafs, you also don't watch the Marlies. He absolutely can move the puck and has a bomb of a shot.
Amazing that someone can be this wrong so often...

You're a funny guy, I'm sure you were impressed by Igor Ozganinov too right ?

Not particularly - although I had high hopes for him. AHL is a different beast from the NHL. Rubins is a competent 2nd pair DFD for them.

That's why I thought your puck moving and booming shot comment was funny, his AHL average puck moving skills and above average hard shot would be a below average NHL standards. This is why I believe it's solely an AHL contract, replace Vinnie Loverde as the long serving man on the DCorps. Of course Holl didn't look great as an AHL but made the Leafs Top 4 eventually. I'd like to see Kral play pro games, there might be potential there.

Holl did look good as a Marlie. again what are you talking about? He was one of the more underrated guys (who both Keefe and Dubas pointed out as a highly underrated player years ago)

Holl was a 23 year old Marlie rookie, he could have easily turn into another Loverde and stay as a career AHL'er. Yes the 23-26 yr old Holl looked good playing in the A but in normal standards, that development stage was unusual. Most prospects and management would have given up hope. So kudos to Keefe.
