Considering how well the Nylander - Strome - Kane had been performing, I think CHI is probably more hesitant about trading both Strome AND Nylander; the trade makes sense though in terms of both teams' needs.

Hawks would prefer a LHD, so I like the idea of a Strome for Brodin swap instead (with MIN adding).

So what would you like to see Wild add? I would still like to acquire Nylander as well. I know Guerin would like to keep Brodin, so I don't see him adding much.

Not sure. If Nylander is involved, probably a solid prospect or a high pick, if not something less. Strome + Nylander for Brodin + Boldy or Khovanov, or Strome for Brodin + 3rd or 4th.

Price is probably to high for Nylander but the Strome for Brodin and a 3rd or 4th is probably a deal I would think.

Not really. I love Dumba’s offensive game, but with all the OFDs we already have, I’m skeptical about adding another (expensive) one. Donato is still young, but right now he’s a nonstarter. Besides, 17 and 92 were playing really well before the break and Strome especially (I think) should be a long term piece.

Even with Strome, I’m not sure he’s the game changer Minnesota is looking for. Their run into a playoff spot has been one of the cooler stories of the last month or so but talk about a team that could use a guy like Byfield....

Agreed Byfield would be ideal but Lundell would be the best we can hope for. Not a nock on Lundell, but Byfield looks more promising. I think the Wild have enough talent at wing coming up I feel like a center like Strome would look real good next to Fiala and Kaprizov.
