When are the Kapanen for Larsson trades gonna end?
The Leafs aren't trading Kapanen for a UFA dman unless there's some picks/prospects/RFA coming along, see the Kadri/Barrie trade for an example.

Highly doubt the Panthers or Rangers have any interest in those trades.

laugh Yeah like Hall is wasting his time on a 1 x 7.5 offer from Edmonton, And obviously this guy doesn't know how RFAs work. AA has arbitrary rights this year. So no way in hell he's signing for 1 x 3 qualifying offer has to be 10% over the previous season so minimal qualifying on AA would be 1 x 3.3

the teams are irrelevent, they're cap dumps to teams that could use players. insert any team in the league, im sure one of the 200 hockey men would want some "grit"

Leafs need a shakeup and a responsible defenseman. they want picks and prospects? they can go get bounced in round 1 again and again and again

i dont know how RFA works? it seems you're unaware of how to read. any qualifying offer over 1M is 100% of the last years salary, not 110%. Good one pal...

Hall signs long term anywhere hes not getting near what he could based on this year. very poor season, seems like a smart move would be to bet on himself and go to an offensive team for a year and up his value

We can say hockey men might want these guys and dump them off to make an ACGM work but in reality it's highly unlikely anyone will want Russell with his cap hit unless they're compensated to take him, he's got trade protection as well so that's an issue.
Chiasson some teams may be interested in, I think he remains an Oiler though.

Regardless of whether the Leafs are a first round exit or not they're not trading Kapanen for a UFA, I used the Barrie/Kadri trade as a reference to what a Kapanen for Larsson trade would likely look like, Dubas will want something to make up for Kapanen's term and RFA status.

kadri is a much better player than kapanen is though, that is a terrible terrible example...

Good gawd, Barrie was a UFA, so is Larsson, Kapanen has term and is an RFA, Kadri had term, Toronto needed to be compensated for the term Kadri had compared to UFA Barrie which is why Kerfoot came into the deal so yeah its a good example actually.

you see kadri is a better forward than barrie is a defenseman, thats the main reason there was a roster player coming back. kapanen is a 3rd liner and larsson is a 2nd pair dman, leafs upgrade for one season. what arent you getting here??

No one is trading a good cost controlled winger who's an RFA straight up for a UFA dman, what aren't you getting here?

Oilers would need to add, period.
And I like Larsson, just don't see the Leafs trading Kapanen for a rental.
