This is how things should stand without any big moves, anyone on LTIR gets bought out or traded, if the cap increases so much teams like Ottawa are gonna have to acquire some guys to get back to the cap floor and I think Smith would agree to go back to Ottawa to be a locker room guy, dont really know about the rest of them.

I think at this point, the maximum value we get out of Strome is trading him, unless he lights it up for the rest of the season flanked by Kane and Nylander as he did last night. Think we could potentially package him with Murphy for a big fish (like Nurse) or go out and sign a guy like Krug to a long term deal, but I dont know how much it would take to acquire/sign those guys. If we were acquiring Nurse, I dont think it would take Strome and Murphy, probably more like Strome and Beaudin, but I think if we go after one of those 2 then it would be worth exploring Murphy trade options, especially with Carlsson playing how he has the past couple of games I like him. Id like to know your thoughts on any potential moves or just line combinations in general. Obviously if we kept strome the lines would look as they did last night to an extent with Shalunov taking Caggiulas place on the 3rd line and Barratt taking Smiths/Highmores place on the 4th
