Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

These aren't moves I expect the Ducks to make. These are the moves I think they could make and the ones I would make if I was the GM.

FLA and WPG picks would be traded after the lottery.

The NYR trade allows them to go all-in on stockpiling free agents in July. I.e. Hall, Hoffman, Pietrangelo, etc. Plus they have two 1st round selections in 2020 already.

In their first five selections the Ducks select:

3rd - Tim Stutzle
14th - Connor Zary
15th - Justin Barron
28th - Braden Schneider
35th - Thomas Bordelau

The cap matches up, I just put all the main prospects up on the main roster so that you could see what the Ducks prospect situation looks like.

He's a quality two-way 2C who's good for 50 points and >20 goals, but by the time the Ducks are contending again Zegras, Steel and Lundestrom will be competing for the top 3 C positions and Getzlaf will be in the bottom 6. So Henrique's value should be used to accrue assets that will appreciate for 2022.

The Ducks have a glut of young LWs in Jones, Tracey, Milano, Comtois and Heinen. The Ducks need to utilize that abundance to acquire other assets that complement weaker areas of their prospect pool.

We can do better than those last three picks, I'd prefer Grans Neimela, and Khusnutdinov (if available) and we can do better than Honka for Comtois... I'm not overrating Comtois, Honka just isn't that good, he's not bad, but Comtois is closer to ready, and has a higher ceiling, Honka seems to be more of a high floor low ceiling guy imo, I'd move Tracey instead of Comtois, and it'd be more fair, and I doubt you'd be able to flip Staal for anything, (TBL gladly matches that OS as well)

The Staal one was based more on Chevealdayoffs weird fascination with bad dmen. Honka's ceiling i think has gone up a lot since he was drafted, he's having a stellar year in Finland, but I'm not opposed to swapping out Tracey for Comtois if the deal still got done.

I don't think TBL will be able to match the OS. With an 83M cap they'll have 7.3M with 2F spots to fill and 3D spots to fill, and people they need to resign include Cirellie (+5M) and Sergachev (+5M). So I don't think they'll have the luxury of matching Cernak's OS.

Fair enough on Chevy lol, their "analytics" probably show that Staal is like some elite d man lol, and yeah I agree Honka has definitely improved a good bit, I still don't think he's quite worth giving up Comtois for, that could just be me tho, and yes Tampa is absolutely screwed next year by the cap, but since they are that tight, wouldn't they want guys to sign for under market value like this Cernak os is (imo he probably gets close to 4 with some term)
