Dubas clean up your mess

Description
The 1st trade is trading our rental dman for another that knows how to play defense something this team needs. The 2nd trade brings back a veteran leader in Marleau which after Saturday night's debacle this team needs as well. This may not make this group a stanley cup contender this year but hopefully if Hamonic works out with Reilly in this trial they can resign him and marleau can wake matthews, marner, and the rest of our underachieving forwards.

So you think Calgary will trade the superior defenseman (based on your own comments) and also throw in 2 high draft picks? Shouldn't it be Toronto sending some type of draft pick back the other way?

This is on the players.
What was Dubas suppose to do ? let them just sit out or walk away.
The players got paid like they wanted and paid to be an elite player. Time to start being that.
Zero work ethic and just want to look pretty out on the ice.
Time to take a look at the top players that win

That trade was actually from a flame fan on this site. Also never said he was superior i said he "knows how to play defense".

I know he isn't an offensive juggernaut anymore but the players really listened to him when he was here last year and maybe he can help the lack of effort.

yes, they listened to him and were a dominant force for it! He even made the goaltending not suck or something.
Marleau is irrelevant to how this team is performing.

Well dubas needs to figure this out and seeing he might not have the trade capital available anymore with the injuries to do his ideal trade patching up this sinking ship and hoping that can bail it out in time for the playoffs might be his only choice til the offseason. So if it's not Marleau he needs to find someone to help lead these underachieving group of overpaid kids.

yeah, it's not like dubas has targeted leadership significantly with his trades and brought in guys with good leader and work ethic histories and reputations and it hasnt helped.
It almost like you can bring in the leaderist leader who ever leadered and have no idea how it's going to effect team dynamic.

If I had to pick one, I would take Hamonic 100%.

I agree and i only used a flames fan post trade involving barrie and Hamonic. But if it was barrie for hamonic and a b prospect at this point I'd do it as well to me he is the type of dman that this team has been lacking for a long time.

Barrie won't be going to Calgary in the first place because of Brodie
So don't think of calling the leafs

Lol Hamonic isn't even that great on defense. His defensive stats show nothing to me
I want someone who isn't a -3 and barley does anything and the other defensive part shows nothing
Again Barrie is not going to Calgary
