It's close. The devils need to at least consider it because of the D and RW prospect that we are razor thin at with the 1st. We don't want Perreault. With the poor depth at D especially RD , Severson's play as of late and him being tied up for 3 more years after this at 4.1 mil we probably pass but I would consult the analytics team on a deep dive into Stanley and Spacek first. Might need an additional pick as opposed to Perreault.

Not enough. Logan Stanley's star has dimmed....probably a better piece to acquire Sami Vatanen.

(also....I am honesty a bit puzzled by how often John Hayden's name has appeared in these).

Perreault for Hayden doesn’t need to be there. Maybe a 3rd or 4th?

Stanley still has potential but he hasn’t had a great partner in nogier this year which doesn’t exactly help his case. Stanley probably needs one more year to work on his pivots before he is ready for a full time role. I think he can be a top 4 shutdown d imo

What if perreault and Hayden are taken out

Dump Hayden and Perreault and give us a 2nd for a 3rd this year and a 3rd next traded to you and I think this might get it done. We lost our 2nd in the PK deal.

That’s a lot of picks moved. It’s more realistic to have just a 3rd or a 4th going to you. Anyways the jets need prospects right now. So it’s not great for us to trade our 1st and 2nd this year

I doubt it...but tbh I haven't watched Stanley in a while. I am just giving my impression of how others may value him.

I think Dylan Samberg for Severson makes more sense value-wise...especially in sellers market

You aren’t getting much back then cause Samberg is an A prospect. I honestly don’t think the jets would do it if the first was involved too

The think with jets fans (and even all hockey fans to an extent) is that they are very hard on their own players. Look back to before little was injured. Everyone said he isn’t good even though if he wasn’t injured the jets would be in a completely different place rn. Stanley is still a good prospect ( or worth the first he was drafted with but still good)

Honestly, if you want to move Logan Stanley for established RHD, then Sami Vatanen is most likely your guy. Vatanen is better with the puck trough the neutral zone, better skater, can play both L/R sides. But he has a bruised ankle from blocked shot, so has been out last few games. Severson is better in the offensive zone and in the corners, and has better shot. Vats probably costs a 2nd + conditional 3rd/4th, while Severson probably costs A-prospect, 1st, and a bit more.

I don’t think you will get that much. Like you will get a 1st, but then you won’t get a top prospect like Samberg. Stanley and another b prospect is more realistic. My guess is severson gets only a bit more that what montour got. And this is it. In this case imo both prospects are better. Also going to the fact that if you think you are going to get Stanley and a 2nd for vatanen from the jets isn’t accurate imo. That’s a lot to give up for vatanen but it is a seers market this year so u never know.
