I’m an Oiler fan and would be shocked if we got AA for that package. I’m not even the biggest AA fan but if that’s all he costs we should get him in the lineup for the Boston game tomorrow.

When he inevitably gets traded, you’ll be shocked at how little he came for

AA would be great, I’d rather us trade for Chris Tierney out of Ottawa though

Easy no from Detroit. Granlund is a UFA and most likely won't sign with Detroit so he has no value to Detroit. Berglund is either waiting to re-enter the draft or he isn't coming over to play hockey in North America so Berglund like Granlund has no value from Detroit pov. Lagesson isn't a very good skater, with very little to no offensive upside and he is 23. So it looks like he might be a career AHL player. Since AA is an RFA Detroit just holds on to him for another season or 2.

No way would Detroit accept that trash offer, Granlud is buried and Lagesson is a healthy scratch. Get real that trash trade doesn't benefit us one iota.

The AA trade is laugh for Detroit, We don't have to move him. We'll gladly hold on to him until his value rises again. And it will rise with more talent around him next season.

I think Berglund will sign in Edmonton this spring, he wants to come over and both sides are interested in getting it done. Lots of Swedish D in Edmonton to keep him company... but you're right, until he signs, there's an element of uncertainty that reduces his value due to the real risk of losing him for nothing in the summer.

Lagesson has shown decent offense in Bakersfield, he had similar scoring rates to Jones and Bear last year when you remove their PP production (he didn't / doesn't get PP time). He's better than those guys on the PK though - he's now the Oilers 3rd pairing LHD (since Klefbom and Russell are injured) and I have no problem with him there. Tonight's game is against the best team in the league though, so we'll see... I'm more worried about whether Jones can handle 2nd pairing minutes than Lagesson with 3rd pairing minutes.

Clearly this isn't enough for AA, but by the summer these players might be viewed in a slightly more favorable light; i.e. if Berglund signs an ELC and Lagesson proves to be an NHLer.

Yeah most teams say the best route for European defensemen is to develop more in their home country before coming to North America. We are just over 3 months away from from his sign by date if that date was a year away then it wouldn't be a big deal. Your right Lagesson could become a solid defensive defenseman he got the size and he is smart. I don't follow Edmonton prospects that closely I get most of my info from scouting reports and youtube clips.
