That is way more than I am comfortable giving up to get Georgiev. He's good, but he's never been more than a backup. I think he can be a starter, but that's not the same as actually being a starter. Anthony Duclair is an All Star

Oh for sure. He'd be a good guy to have in the room, even if he doesn't play every night. Not like they need the cap space. Plus it's a high cap hit with low salary paid which gels with what Ottawa would be looking for.

Rangers deal- Nope..... Georgiev isn't worth Duclair... may be for only the 2nd round pick but.. the sens don't need a back-up

Boston Deal-YES!! One more 1st round pick in a deep draft . Plus the cap hit would help the sens reach the cap floor next year ( cap hit : 6 000 000$ real cost: 4 000 000$)

I like the Boston deal. Two weeks ago it was unrealistic but now Backes would absolutely waive his NTC to come to Ottawa. It's better to be the veteran on a young rising NHL team for a year than to sit in the AHL waiting for a call up that isn't coming.
