22 skaters 3 goalies
keep in mind this is 2 years from now so i was hesitant on putting older players on the team over some younger guys who will only get better by 2022
what on earth has Jack Hughes done to deserve to be here?
Furthermore, I don't see them allowing players to play in China. The Olympics isn't sharing the money earned on the games with the NHL and the NHL doesn't view it as growing the game.
China has a hockey league. They don't need to show up in china to get people to watch hockey there. The whole world knows the NHL is the very best in Hockey.

I can see them going. They had those China Games a few years ago for a reason which was to draw attention to hockey and grow the sport in Asia and putting NHL players in the Olympics is a great way to grow the sport.
This is a projection 2 years from now. Hughes *should* be better by then. He's 18 now and just learning the game and he's a small guy but in two years he could be putting up good numbers. If not, then it's simply a projection and there will be another player to take his place.
Dang, I really like this team. The defense has come so far in the last decade with Jones, Slavin, McAvoy, Carlson, Hughes, Werenski, etc. It's exciting! Now if we can only get them to play team hockey...

if they wanted to appeal to the asia market they would have went to the last one. They made a decision that it wasn't worth it and that the Olympics wouldn't make a ton of money on their backs while they made nothing. Period. That is over and done with.
Either they make the money off it, or they don't go.
Furthermore, China has the KHL, they have hockey. They don't need to play games there to draw attention. Everyone in the whole world knows the NHL is the highest level of the game.
