I somewhat like these moves, although I have hard time seeing Crawford in any other Jersey tham Blackhawks'. If goaltending was a big issue for Leafs, I think they should consider, but lately, Hutchinson has been decent enough...

VGK and BUF trades are nice, I like them both.

FLA trade is also pretty good, although I don't think FLA can actually afford it. They're pretty tight with the cap, too...

I think FLA can take on another $1.3M after dumping Pysyk and they definitely need a LHD shutdown guy. Maatta is a Coach Q kind of defender so see it as a fit plus he has a $680K buyout so relatively cheap. Maybe Hawks take on another cap move in that trade?

Yeah, Crow would be hard to see in another jersey. There's talk about the Hawks bringing back Crow cheap on a short term deal along with extending Lehner. That said, Toronto's defense is not good and going into the playoffs, they need to give andresen a rest, Crow is head and shoulders above hutch.

Sabres decline hard

Why is that? They move down a round to rid themselves of that anchor contract so they can make another resulting move to grab a asset. Bowman was at the last Sabres game, something is cooking and rumor is it does involve Bogosian getting dumped to the Hawks.

No urgency to dump an expiring contract. Bogosian requested a trade but GMJB said he’s not gonna let players dictate his “plan” definitely not going to trade assets to rid of these players. We’d trade Bogo for like a 6th and retain half his deal or just absorb the deal for the rest of the very lost season.

If you guys are going to make a move, then Bogosian will get dumped. You can't dump a big contract like that for a 6th rounder...you're dreaming. Your GM is giving up the season either so there is a trade coming and rumor is the Hawks are involved and they have cap to take on a dump but are going to want a prospect in return. Also rumors around Saad going to Buf, if that's true that will cost a 1st plus Bogosian. Saad would put Frolik in the pressbox in a new york minute.

Unrealistic to all hell. Botts said he’s not letting players dictate his plan. If he trades assets to dump an expiring contract who requested a trade he’s eating his own ass. We can absorb his deal without pointlessly trading prospects that we need and picks we are already almost having drought with instead of moving them for a season we’ve already lost. I’d give up if he did it.

Gosh, wouldn't it be nice to have Saad but hey, you guys got Frolik! lol Seriously though, Sabres up against the cap, giving up a good prospect for Saad and dumping Bogosian to make room makes a lot of sense. It was confirmed Bowman was at the Sabres game which means he's meeting with them. All the rumors have been saying is Hawks to absorb Bogosian's contract which means there's another move the Sabres are making; maybe with the Hawks (saad) maybe with another team.

What do you expect for Saad? Our top 10 guaranteed pick? You see? It’s not realistic. Not to mention I love Saad and he can fill a hole at our 2nd line RW but we are in no position for these moves.

These seem all very realistic. I just think we are probably overpaying TOR for Johnsson, Nylander still has value IMO, although we are getting frustrated with him I still think he has potential.

Could we get a 2nd rounder from FLA with the cap dump for Maatta?
