Thats absolutely laughable offer for Kapanen. 3rd pairing LD, 4C and goalie prospect who is bad in ECHL? No..

Yeah, I didn't get value just right, but that 3rd pairing dman is the type they need, I was thinking Oleksiak and a nice NHL forward or solid prospect who can help now, at league minimum. Oleksiak and something like raffl, good vet two way physical board player and a bit more. Toronto, IMO, cant win/lose games 5-4 and needs some defensive help and physicality. But something like Oleksiak and Hagg and a good 2-way 7-12th forward (like a pitlick or raffl), but that doesn't work cap wise...

They would need that if they didnt have Dermott as 3LD. I think there is a deal possible.. actually multiple ones. Myers for Kapanen would make sense. Kapanen and Barrie for Myers, Patrick and some salary coming Leafs way. Dont think Kapanen would be cheap. He wont.

Agree, but Toronto needs physicality and team defense and Philly needs a top 9 forward (both teams dealing from depth), after the season ending loss of Patrick and Lindblom. I could see PHI moving a Ghost (whos probably not a fit) for Kapanen, but probably not Myers. Myers seems like a keeper at the moment, and along with Provorov and Sanheim, that's a pretty inexpensive, talented and young three dmen to move forward with. And PHI even with injuries isn't desperate for forwards enough to create a hole on defense.

As far as salary cap, Philly doesn't really have too many medium level salaries, you'd have to look at a JVR and Myers for Barrie and Kapanen kind of thing....

As much as they make good trading partners, they dont

Sure, but why would they move a middle 6 winger who is one of their top PKers for a 3rd pairing LHD and two ECHLers? If they want a big bottom pairing guy it isn't going to cost Kapanen.
