The Rangers say no. Zibby means too much to the team. That said, the value isn't bad as the upgrade on defense is nice and the Rangers get even younger.

Zibanejad has a full NMC that kicked in this last July 1st. NYR was thinking of trading Zibanejad instead of Hayes at last years trade deadline, but because of his low salary and emerging strong talent kept Zibanejad and traded Hayes. If teams wanted Zibanejad they should have made a strong trade offer before last seasons trade deadline, like the one you're proposing, instead of trying to low ball NYR like so many GM's try to do. Now there's no way NYR approaches Zibanejad the next three years to ask him to waive his NMC. If anything Gorton should maybe(?) try to extend his contract now for another 2-3 years.

Columbus isn't trading Werenski, And the Rangers aren't trading Zibby. Neither team does this.

Can't extend a contract until the last year of his deal.

I was opening this expecting to chuckle and ignore it, but thats a damn intriguing trade. I think the Rangers get the better of it.

I think the rangers highly consider. Putting werenski with Trouba would be insane, and PLD had really good chemistry with panarin. The only reason rangers may say no, is if they resign strome who looks like an elite talent playing with panarin (he’s not an elite talent tho)

i went to columbus 6 years ago. 10 hour drive. worst place i ever visited in my life. if it wasn't for the ohio state football that city would be a ghost town.the city is surrounded by ghettos, then the outer city is all hillbillys. i kid you not. my wife's good friend moved there. there is only chain restaurants. the neighborhoods are either only black ghettos or white hillbillys.

the little area where the arena is located is nice. when i left the parking lot after the game i had zero traffic. and i didn't really leave early, with maybe 3-4 mins left of the game.

i understand y players don't want to live there.
