Why would ANA move Rakell?

If I had Rakell on my team, I would not move him. If you wanted to make an argument for moving Rakell, it would be that his his age doesn't line up with the young incoming core the Ducks have. Moving him for younger pieces to fit in with their upcoming talent could make sense. But Rakell's cap hit and level of service he offers make it difficult to part ways and I understand backlash when it comes to trades involving him.

Risto sucks. We can go around and around all day, man.
Sabres need forward help, and you have to give something to get something in a trade, and Bogo, Sheary, and a 4th for a 2nd line center isn't ever happening in this dimension.

Only way that Anaheim trades Rakell for that package is if Buffalo's pick is #3, 4 or 5 and Anaheim's isn't.
