So let me break this down:
Our first line center on an incredibly team friendly deal and a bust of a prospect, for Tryamakin, who has played in the K for the last 3 years and the team loses his rights for good in 2 years, Pearson, who is similar to what we traded away in Namestnikov, but like Vlad doesn't have much of a reason to play above our younger forwards, Mike Dipietro, a good goalie prospect but isn't more valuable than Shesterkin or Georgiev, making our (good) goalie problem more complicated, a 2nd round pick and a pick that could possibly belong to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Got a strong feeling this trade would be a hefty no thank you from the Rangers.
Also factor in Zibanejad has played center his entire time in New York and has proved he's a 1C over the last 2.5 seasons, hasn't even been on the table at the last 2 trade deadlines and drafts. Mika's here to stay in New York and he's for sure not getting traded to play on the wing, at least not for a package like that.
