Take out the Nino stuff and just do a trade around Pesce if it is a Leafs trade.

Idk. Don't really think about a Pesce trade so I haven't much thought about the return. I don't think it will happen. CAR is in a good place top-4 D wise and I think they'd prefer Pesce to whatever else they have to take his place in the future.

Kapanen doesn't move the needle enough for a Pesce trade. There have been a lot of Leafs posts looking for defensive RHD and players who add grit. Leafs are getting the best player in this trade and Canes are filling needs. Barrie takes Pesce's place til the end of the season. Just looking for solutions.

Pesce would be expensive and I think the only deal that wouldve been close was with Kadri involved which Kadri did not want (he had Canes on his NTC list). I dont think Leafs are willing to move Nylander for Pesce and I dont think Canes want Kapanen for Pesce.. Kadri wouldve been something in the middle. I think we should go after Stecher..
