Maybe... I really like Ehlers, but it might be a little bit too much to give up for him. WPG might have to throw in a 2nd round pick or a prospect or something like that. But I believe Gorton would have a tough time saying no if this trade was proposed to him as is take it or leave it.

this is way too much for ehlers. deangelo is top 4 highly offensive defenceman, georgiev is a fringe starter right now and has starter potential with elite ceiling, buch is a high top 6 winger who's doing better than ehlers is. I could see nyr doing krieder and DeAngelo for ehlers otherwise nyr wont heavily overpay for the same player back in buch

As a Rangers fan, I say yes. Others wil probably disagree, but I've been following him since Halifax and this guy is the real deal. Buchnevich isn't exactly a star, DeAngelo is on his way out anyway due to contract demands/roster needs, and Georgiev's value is pretty high. Absolutely worth it.

No thanks, not what NYR need. He's a nice regular season player and all but we have top line kids. If we're getting a top 6 it will be a c. We need big, aggressive, defensive, role players and able to fit into tight cap going forward. Trading Georgiev is ludicrous.

Jets decline this trade. Reason I say that is because ehlers has been our best forward this year and he’s on a steal of a contract. The guy is on pace for 30+ goals and he’s only going to get better. Rangers fans may complain and say it’s too much but WPG is super high on ehlers and you’ll have to pay a hefty price(more than this) to get him.

This is one of those trades that looks good, but makes no sense for both teams right now.
Jets love Ehlers right now and he's under a good contract for years to come.
The rangers would love to get thier hands on Ehlers, but giving up a potential stud dman in Deangelo and their future goalie (maybe) seems like a steep price
