would argue that among the 3M guys toronto has, kerfoot is the one you don't trade. toronto doesn't have the best centre depth outside of the main team.

To my knowledge, Kerfoot played mostly wing in Colorado. I agree, our center depth is fine for now.

He played centre and wing, much like he has been deployed now. Most young centres have more success on the wing and as they develop can be moved back to centre. With our centre depth I like kerfoot on the wing forechecking.

I also think Marner could play centre.

I mean, for a 3c his cap hit is actually very reasonable. People are slow to catch on to this stuff but these days if you've done anything in this league as a decent centre, you get 3 mil minimum. Generally the structure these days looks alot more like this:

1C: 9+
2C: 6-8
3C: 3-5
4C: min-2
