This isn't a good idea. Wasting a 23 year old elite player on a rental. Nylander has the best contract on the team, don't move him. In fact don't move anyone, just wait and see what is what once Keefe fully implements his system.

Nylander is not elite. There may be parts of his game that you could consider elite but that doesn't make him elite.

Whataver you want to say man, still a terribly short sighted move. It doesn't really make them much better, costs a tonne and will hurt the cap more if they resign him. Its all together a plan that was not at all thought out from the Leafs side of things.

So kyle connor isn’t elite either? He’s elite, his vison and his passing is really nice and when him and Matthews are clicking with johnsson their line is a top 3 line
