moast of this is good. the oilers probably dont add a 2nd in the trade and the tanev signing is awful. hes pretty much a 3rd pair defenseman who cant stay healthy. signing him to a long term contract for way to much is such a bad idea. dermott probably signs a 6 or 7 year contract worth around 4 million

now that i think about it the trade isnt that bad. a good middle 6 forward for a #4 defenseman and a late 2nd on an expiring contract is a win for edmonton

Really? I genuinely thought value-wise it was pretty close. Could you imagine Kappy with McDavid? Also Kappy is signed beyond this year and will still be an RFA when deal expires.

Very true haha it's risky. I just know TOR will probably be looking for a top 4 RHD this off-season...any other player you would rather target on defence?

gudas is very underrated but if they could get larson I dont think they would need anyone else, maybe a few depth pieces. dermott is ready for the top 4 and so is sandin to some extent. larson and gudas would be more then awesome tho

That’s a actual trade that could go through. You guys badly need a speed second liner with nuge and Neal, leafs need a rhd and the second is also a great return.

Is that a hysterical laugh, born from delusion? Larsson has very little actual value. He was picked up by Chiarelli to be a new era puck moving defender and what he got was a bottom 4 stay at home guy with terrible possession stats. Larsson has never been anything special in the NHL and never will be. He isn't worth a top 6 winger.

Larsson isn't any better than Ceci. He's a bottom 4 defender who's contract is probably too much for what he can contribute.
