Why trade our best Dman?

I know he's an elite defenseman but he's going to ask for 10+ mil in the offseason so you have to get something for him

It's definitely the coach's mindset. Having your 2 best players play an average of 19 minutes. He plays the 4th line when they are down by 1 with 3 minutes left. Making Reilly play with Ceci even though he is bad and so much more.

Fire him on Christmas?? That's messed up..
I don't think they can fire anyone for like 3 weeks in December.

A lot of coaches play line 3 or 4 with 3-4 min left so the top two lines can play the rest of the game. Also who’s Rielly be supposed to play with?

Reilly can play with Dermott, Barrie hasn't been working with Muzzin, maybe he plays with Rielly and I was all for trying Ceci and Rielly but it hasn't been working. Ceci is dragging down Rielly.
When you are down by 1 with 2 minutes left and an empty net and Nic Petan is who you put on the ice, its incredibly stupid. He doesn't have the skill to keep up with guys like Matthews and Nylander.
