New Jersey has a pretty good chance of getting Lafreniere with their own pick. As an Avs fan, I am a little sick of NJ getting 1st overall picks. Especially the ones that we had the highest chances of getting. I do enjoy Cale Makar and Bowen Byram so the consolation prizes have been comforting.

Yeah, it is haha. I mean I am not disappointed, personally I'd take Makar over Hischier just because we already have Mack, and then anything we got in the top 4 last draft was a bonus and sheer dumb luck thanks to Ottawa.

At this point it seems like everything; everyone (except Blackwood, Hall, Greene, and Simmonds) looks like they are playing flat. They cannot buy a crucial goal and they let in bad ones all the time (24th in GA, 30 GF).

The Devils have played 17 games so far, but if they don't go on a 5-10 game winning streak over the next 13 games. They might have to be sellers before Christmas and just bring up Mcleod, Bastian, Anderson, etc and see what they have for next season.

Yeah I get that, but Hall is still close to a point a game player on this team, so I cannot knock his play that much. I do agree that the whole: will Hall resign, is he not resigning, what's his value, the Devils need to win to keep Hall "thing" is now the major theme of this team and a big distraction.
