DAL gets f*cked. Ryan doesn't make it to the lineup in OTT and he costs $6M and at the worst case scenario we'd have to protect him in the expansion draft due to his NMC (if not waived).

Long-term we don't even save money, which makes re-signing Hintz and Heiskanen even harder. At the end of the day we lose Comeau and a 2nd for a forward who isn't even much of an upgrade and with way worse contract. Hanzal is never playing again, making him meaningless in this move. Damiani and Lajoie are pretty equal prospects...

This just doesn't work for DAL.
