Timashov would have to be waived to be sent down. I could imagine a team taking a flyer on him if they got the chance....

Maybe, but who cares, he doesn't really matter. He's like Shoshnikov. He's a career 4th liner and easily replaceable. Shore is by far more useful this season than Timashov will be.

But what are you giving up on? Where is his future in TO? Pressbox or full time 4th liner. Who cares. I like him and he's been fine this year, not good enough to stay in the lineup when the Leafs are healthy and next year what is he going to do? He's done pretty good and if he can be sneaked through on waivers great, if not oh well. I would be shocked if he becomes anything other than exactly what he is right now, a borderline NHL player.
