That is blowing it up. However, when a team is ready to dismantle its current roster, a GM rarely receives the perceived value of the players being moved. The GM never gets a full wish list as in these deals.
I can’t see why Jersey would give up on a younger cheaper netminder for older, higher paid struggling one. The Rangers parted with Zuccarello at the trade deadline last season. Why would they wanted him back and pay more for his services? Tampa just says no to the Koivu deal.
The trade with Toronto is an interesting one. Interesting in if the Leafs would part ways with Kapanen. Zucker to Buffalo is balanced, however I think it is either a 2nd or the two players, not both. The trade with Montreal, remove the draft picks. The trade with Anaheim would be interesting. If the 1st round is in play, then it should warrant three players. Perhaps two.
With Edmonton, basically it is five players and first for Dumba and the shell of Staal thrown in. Way too much. Just a 1st for Dumba.
I have already said it is too early to give up on the Wild. Some of those players may be moved if Minnesota fails to qualify for post season.
