devils say no, gusev is someone they obviously liked because they traded for him not sure why they give him up. for johnson and a pick. Palat trade baffles me, thats just a stupid trade for the lightning to make. chicago doesnt do a 1 for 1 with shaw youde have to add quite a bit to that deal since shaw is a 40-50 point player and killorn isnt on that level.

Killorn is probably a better player I did the trade for the 500k cap savings and the fact that Shaw is a bit tougher.

thought he had less for some reason. regardless. not sure why chicago is taking the older player with the higher cap hit. chicago has their own cap problems. is Killorn an upgrade to shaw? i dont think so.

right TAMPA gets a 500k cap savings. i dont see killorn as the better player.

KILLORN only turned 30 couple weeks ago .. he is what he is .. last 7 years .
EVERY YEAR .. 0.5 pts per game and plays almost all games every year .. he can shoot and score .. is smart .. and has some grit both in corners and front of net .. he is not fast nor best defender .. but for next 3 to 4 years he is better than average.. for his $4M contract also .. 3rd line winger who will have 40ish points who can do 2nd PP dirty work also

People mix up Palat and Killorn

Whats the deal with palat? back to back injury filled seasons and his shot % goes from roughly 12-13% on average to 10.5, 10.1, 8.0 last 3 years.

With PALAT .. injuries haven't helped but he is quicker and did more Tom Brady type training in offseason so he a little lighter and hopefully more durable.. this huge year for him for his future
