Way too much - smith and hughes are comps, i give the edge to hughes and the leverage to van knowing what it means for marketing so will def have to overpay. On just value including smith and a 1st > hughes, still don't think it gets done. Add in an NHL level prospect about to make the jump like mcleoud I think makes sense (then maybe or maybe not add throw ins) zacha bratt smith 1st and throw ins is absolutely absurd

To be honest bratt hurt the most, but figured this would be a "plickspect" situation - a top six forward, an A prospect, and a 1st round pick. The logic from the devils side is that hughes is in that one tier above, and because of the way they are configured, that seems more crucial to the devils as configures.

And of course the novelty of having the hughes brothers on the same team, which was mostly the point. It probably doesnt make sense but i could theoretically see both teams benefit, if i squint really hard....
