I do like him and I am sure I am biased, however he's way better than what most people seem to thing. The whole, "he showed he's just a 60 point depth winger" crap is going to look so bad soon.

Well you can say that for any RFA. The only real leverage an RFA has to to withhold his services, and make 1m oversees or a minimum of 8m in the NHL. Can't have their top player out? If it affects your cap long term, maybe you have too.

You're a CBJ fan, should CBJ offered Panarin 14m long term and kept his services for a Cup run this season.

And it changes based on every rfa... CBJ could have werenski sit out this year if he was being difficult on the contract, but teams like the leafs cant have their stars sit out.. hence why they budged on nylander and marner

Gee I don't know why you say the Leafs couldn't have Marner or anyone miss the season. The arena would still be sold out. No team want their players to miss the season. the Leafs aren't any different than any other team. It's the player who misses out on 8m for not playing in the NHL this misses the most, and it certainly doesn't help his negotiations next summer when his RFA rights are still owned by that time.
