ADA will most likely sign a 2 year deal- prob 2.5-2.75 M range per...Lemieux deal will depend on timing- if signed before season will prob be for 1 yr near QO...if he holds out until cap is avail (trade made)- then maybe a 2 yr for 1.2-1.4M per.

I like Brendan as a grinder and dman on the PK.
The question is if his presence hinders any cap wiggle room

The difference in cap hit is about 100K...cap savings if Smith is buried is a little over 1M- but he needs to be replaced by another D- whose cap hit would be 925K (if Lindgren)...of course can always sign Claesson for about 700K...but if Smith stays up in a dual role- 7D/13F- the teams can save a contract...which would amount to a cap savings of 300-400K...this might be the way to start the season- gain the wiggle room you are talking about- until the trade market opens up and a trade can be made
