Having Chiarot on the bench is kinda odd, but I wouldn't scratch Mete or Kulak too. If MTL was really planning to trade for a NHLer LD, they would not have signed Chiarot.

LHD most NHL ready : Alex Romanov, Matthias Norlinder, Jordan Harris. Mete Kulak are already NHL caliber. With Chiarot signing, MTL wont trade for LHD IMO

Calgary needs another top 6 winger more than anything else, getting a cheap LHD for depth should be easy enough to do.

Kylington could well become 2nd pairing LD for years to come. Tatar is certainly high right now because of his last season but he's still older than MTL's core and we can't predict another huge year like last year. But i like idea, what would you propose ?

Tatar would more likely be dealt for picks, if we can get a 1st something and something then it'll be used to move up the draft and try to take a shot on a NHL ready player.

100% agree with you. I also think Tatar will be dealt for picks, but i'm confident if Bergevin could get a young top 4 LD, he would do it without a doubt, especially with the fact that a 1st pick this year would only give a player ready in maybe 2-5 years...

The issue is we have already lot of guys that are and will compete for spot top4 spot/upside; Mete, Romanov, Kulak, Chiarot, Struble, Norlinder are all top4 upside so I'd be surprised he gets another one. Either he get's a top2 stud (But Tatar isn't worth that much) or draft picks that he can use to trade up and get Lafreniere or whoever the best prospect available for the org may be by this time.
