ANA isn't moving Lindholm.

It’s a good package for Lindholm, but ANA declines because they have no intention of trading him any time soon.

Lindholm will be a mainstay in Anaheim for many years to come. He isn’t moving for that crappy package.

Lias is 20 years old. People need to stop crapping on the kid because he hasn’t panned out yet. He very well could be a very good player, he could very well suck. Same with Chytil, same with any prospect in the NHL. Point is simple can’t say that a package for a player sucks because of prospects involved. Robertson was supposedly a great pick... Vlad is Vlad, a 40 pt winger who could play C. A 2020 first in a stacked draft also isn’t something to look negatively at. Anaheim May choose not to move Lindholm but don’t think it’s a bad trade offer. I also don’t think NYR need to fix the D as Staal/Smith are gone in 2 seasons and they have a lot of prospects, Hajek, Lindgren, Rykov, Lundkvist, Miller. Why not let everybody see what they can become before they are fully blocked by Skjei, Fox, Trouba, Lindholm if he’s traded for...

Anaheim has already lost some pretty good Dmen, They can't afford to give up Lindholm for any price.

Does the rangers D need to be fixed? They got Trouba and they have some young guys coming up and hopefully forcing older guys like Staal out. IMO, they are in the middle of a retool/rebuild hybrid. Seems to me like they are on the right track.
That being said, acquiring a guy like Lindholm makes your d better, but the rangers will have one pick in the first 4 rounds in this scenerio...doesnt make a lot of sense to me

Unfortunately for him it’s all about the leverage and he has very little...best for the Rangers would be to sign him for 2 years- but ADA won’t do this for less than 2.5 M per...end result can be him signing a 1 year show me for 1M-1.75M...if he shows his worth he will be in line for a big raise next year...only leverage he has now is possibility of an offer sheet- but he hasn’t yet earned the trust of the other teams to warrant such- so he will probably have to take what the Rangers give him.
