I get it but Van isn't eroding their center depth by trading Horvat, they made the moves they did to make the playoffs, Connor is good but no Horvat very likley means no playoffs and Stetcher is just another version of Pionk so he's a pointless addition for the Jets really. Also before anyone suggests replacing Tanev for Stetcher don't cause Tanev is a UFA, not trading Roslovic for an injury prone UFA defenseman.

Not sure why everyone thinks the Jets are so desperate for a RHD, Poolman is 26 and has two full seasons of professional hockey experience plus they have plenty of good depth in the AHL that need a look at the NHL, no need to acquire another defenseman that's just gonna block a defense prospect in the system.

Losing Connor means 30 goals gone and Roslovic still has 2C potential, gawd the kid is 22 and has a season and a half in the NHL, would be really dumb to ship him out now. Trading those two already wouldn't be very smart, their best years are ahead of them.

I get this trade idea but it doesn't make all that much sense for either team.

I would say no we'd be in same boat as just keeping roslovik or behind more. Would want a proven 2c and
