Absolutely. 99% he starts the season there. He committed to Wisconsin before the draft, but he can still sign a NHL contract at any time. The second he does he wont be eligible for the NCAA anymore, but if he signs and still doesn't make the Habs, his rights are owned by the Sault-Ste-Marie Greyhounds in the OHL, so that's where he'd play.

Be patient. He is young and underweight. Don't need to start his career with multiple concussions. He is a long term project.

If Caufield plays this year, it's with Drouin feeding him and KK as his center. But all that aside, he's playing a season of NCAA and coming up after that is done.
