Idk, he's had a rough few years. People on here have him making under a mil, which isn't gonna happen. If anything, I think he tops out at 4 million.

It's funny, I saw that Shattenkirk buyout and thought the same thing "Way rather have him than CODY CECI as 1RD."
My thoughts on the roster: Johnsson 1st line, Mikheyev 3rd. Nick Petan is very unlikely to make this team. Aberg has to be seen as the better option for 4th line duty. Nick Shore also.
I would like to see Marincin make the team, and contribute, but it's a long shot. I hope Liljegren is given the chance to play while Dermott is out, and if so, he will impress and stay with the big club. Neuvirth has been a solid NHL goaltender, hopefully he makes the team and is the backup with his name on the Cup!

I agree with Johnsson on the 1st line, but I saw something that said Mikheyev is starting there to begin the season so that's what he's there. About Liljegren, I'm pumped to see what he can do at the NHL level. I think the Leafs have a great player on their hands there.

Yeah, I'm big on Sandin in the future too, likely 2020/21 when Barrie and possibly Muzzin have left.
BTW, I don't think you have to pay anyone to take Ceci, he is viewed as a legit NHer, and it's only for this year.
Check out my team with Shattenkirk making 3.25. More reasonable, IMHO!

I like this a lot it is realistic. I hope they use Schmalz as a buffer D. I want Liljegren to play asap to utilize his ELC Cheap contract. Liljegren may suck this year but if he can be replacement level then he has gained 1 season experience at the NHL level, vs being in the minors burning a year on the ELC. Shattenkirk contract is realistic too. He still gets his money from the buyout. Heck he may even sign cheaper.

Get ready for disappointment! Cecil will be paired with Rielly to start the year (even if Shatty, is signed). Marincin...no thank you, and as far as Liljegren goes...what about the expansion draft? Other than that I agree.

Over two seasons ago, Shattenkirk was traded be the Blues because he was this third best RHD on their team. Then he had an average to poor season half season with the Capitals. Followed by two poor season with the Rangers. Does he really help the Leafs? He ain't better than Barrie, probably ain't better than Ceci. So he replaces Holl or Marincin this season. What's all the excitement about a PP specialist. He just isn't that good at even strength or PK.
