3rd Line C - WPG

Description
Swap 2 players who want out of their cities who have under performed. Poolparty can go play with Laine and Roslovic can have a chance at the 3rd C spot and develop his game. Then if Nuge leaves he can take over that #2 C spot hopefully, or worst case they can try him at wing.

Not a chance Peg does that. Roslo has already proven more and at this point has a higher ceiling. PoolParty is coming off a surgery and no idea if he will come back 100 percent. Not saying PoolParty wouldn’t develop into a good player but too much risk. That said, I would love to get Puli a s a reclamation project but not at the cost or Roslo.

if you were the GM would you want the Oil to throw in a 2nd or a 3rd?

I think a 2nd seals that.....however, I think if the jets were to trade Roslo it'll be for a young controllable Blue liner....

How about Pulju and William Lagesson for Roslovic and a 5th? Lagesson is pretty much ready to be a 6-7 shut down D right now after a great season in Bakersfield.

I'd be more inclined to do that....

Would be a bit of a gamble for the Oilers, but Roslo is probably going to be a more versatile player even if Pulju turns out okay. And Lagesson could progress to be a 2nd pairing D at his peak, but at LHD I think the Oilers can afford that with Klefbom, Nurse, Jones and Broberg all being with the team for a foreseeable time.

Yeah, the Jets probably don't need another LD unless and hopefully if they trade Kulikov this year, but it's his last year anyway. I think this is a pretty decent trade....

Yeah I mean Lagesson can't step in a definitively take over a top 6 roster spot for certain, depends how he progresses through camp. But he is on a 2 way elc as well so he can either play 1st pair AHL or 6-7 D and then project to take Kulikov's spot next season.

Wait, what? Roslovic is 1.5 years older and has a career highs of 9 goals in the NHL. Puljujarvi has a career high of 12 goals, which he set at just 19 years of age. Roslovic didn't even make the league until he was 20, and that was just a 1 game tryout.

I'm not sure Edmonton should accept a straight trade (although they probably would) let alone add a significant pick / prospect.

It’s tough to say. Roslo is projected at minimum a 3rd line centre who could probably play 2nd line wing with a strong centre beside him. He’s fast, has hands and has a great toolbox and is cost controlled for a long time. I liked PoolParty when he was younger but really hasn’t developed well. I’m sure that a lot of that is on the Oilers, but as of now there is so much going against him. Could he turn out to be a great reclamation project but is a huge gamble if we are giving up Roslo. A 2nd round pick may turn out to be an NHL’r, but again, is a gamble and would be a few years until that pick is making an impact. How is bear progressing? I had read that he regressed a bit but that may just be him working on his defensive game, He seems like he would be a good add as he seems NHL ready and is a RH shot, but Winnipeg I’m sure would need to add to balance the trade as it skews it in Pegs favor quite a bit. Would Vesa for PoolParty and Bear be a good base?
Out of curiosity, what would need to go the other way for Nurse?

I'm not sure you'll find a single hockey brain outside of Edmonton that agree's with your statement. Just to be clear, since you cherry picked the one stat that Pulji has over Roslo...Rolso has played 30+ less games and has 1 more career point. Pulji has barely shown he can play in the AHL while Roslo has shown he's probably lead that league in scoring in a full year. I don't think this is even close....another bad draft by the oilers...But hey, at least they didn't draft Juolevi...but probably should have taken Tkachuk or Keller.

Well, I'm not in Edmonton, so there's hope!

Both of these statements are bullsh*t, you lost all credibility here.

Goodbye.
