why would they? He was worthless not on Crosby's wing and Crosby carried him on his back. They aren't going to bring that back.

He just played a better season in Buffalo than his last in Pittsburgh, they traded him only to get rid of the Hunwick contract. His teammates loved him, I'm sure they'd take him back for a small salary.

Sullivan put him on the 4th line because he was useless out there. Unwilling to fight for pucks, not physical, and frankly disappeared when games get rough. The only reason he played even decent for Buffalo is because he was on the top lines. When he showed he couldn't do that for the penguins that was it. They didn't get rid of him to simply dump Hunwick, they dumped them both in a 2 for 1.
