Brodie could be a good piece to add for their rebuild on the back end since they're lacking in that department, it also gets him out east and closer to family. Glendening is getting to the point where his age probably doesnt fit the rebuild. Detroit has extra picks to trade too

Detroit doesn’t need Brodie. He’s really not good. He make way to many mistakes. We already have one that does that. If Detroit’s prospects work out by next year they will have a solid D core. Will take time for them but withHronek, cholo, mcisaac, kaski, Seidel, bowey. If they play to their potential they will be set for many years.

Brodie is a proven top 4 d man. You're talking about what ifs at this point. You cant just have 4 rookie dmen trying to figure things out at the same time. It was a glaring hole last year for the wings

You are right Glendening is to old to fit into the rebuild but TJ Brodie is on the bubble of being to old and him being in the last year of his contract he won't resign with Detroit so no way they give a 2nd and a 4th yes Detroit has extra picks which are like gold to a team rebuilding. Using your logic Calgary has a lot of good young defensemen so why not keep Brodie and put Kylington in his place since you have extra.

Detroit and their defense is going to be a laughing stock. It's an upgrade on the back end. D prospects take like 5 years to turn into plausible players, kronwall is basically out the door. Gotta fill some team needs

That's cool you throw out insults when some doesn't agree with you. But it doesn't change the fact that Brodie isn't worth a 2nd rd pick he is barely worth a 4th at 29 with one year left on his contract if he had a couple of years left he might be worth a 3rd. I don't understand why you think Detroit is going to give a 2nd and a 4th for one year of Brodie and don't think many people would say that's is a fair deal especially with Detroit rebuilding. Yes Detroit defense won't be very good but they aren't going playoffs this season.
With about 3 D prospects are ready to make the jump and a few over the hill defensemen with bad contracts. They are starting to transition from old defense to a young defense and no one expects them to be good. It looks like Kronwall is going to retire now but he will probably won't make a decision until about a week before training camp.

It's not that bad considering I was a little drunk. You can criticize my grammar all you want but you don't have a clue when comes to hockey.

Since I made my last point on why this trade isn't good for Detroit, all you have done is insult me. Which supports my last comment.

So you think Detroit has no interest in making their D core better? Look at my trade. A 30 year old grinder in Glendening, a 2nd round pick that is Washington's, and a conditional 4th round pick if the wings re sign Brodie. The asking price isnt that steep for a solidified top 4 d man.

But you out here saying I know nothing about hockey

You do know that Luke Glendening and T J Brodie are about the same age, So saying Glendening is old and Brodie is a fit. Is calling the pot kettle black.

Well the Wings have 2 Dmen at 35 with expiring deals rounding out the top 4 right now. Plus Mike Green playing at 33 and 34 over the next 2 seasons.

TJ Brodie turns 30 after the next season is over, he should have another 3 years left of solid hockey as an offensive top 4 D man that eats up minutes and can play on the PP.

If Glendening is worth more then so be it. Just a trade idea
