    Going in cap hell just to get Spurgeon? I'd would take my changes on Carrick, Valieu, Dermott becoming good NHLers before giving two assets for Spurgeon. Also if you really wanted to beef up the defence for 5.187m, just sign a UFA. Underpaid Marincin and Carrick just to fit Spurgeon in.

    Most hockey players are left handed. Most teams have no more than 2 right handed defenceman. Yes, I know they are nice to have but you don't screw the team cause a guy is right handed.
    Zaitsev, Connor Carrick are "sure" to make the Leafs that's two RHD. Corrado makes three. Marincin will probably play on the right side.

    Wild are allergic to 2nd round picks. A bucket of pucks would be more useful than 2 guys that won't see the NHL for 3-5 years.
