That's a terrible deal for the leafs. You have to know that doesn't get you Marner. Nylander is very close to being considered a bust, Saad doesn't move the needle for the leafs, Strome was in the same boat as Nylander before he went to Chitown (and we don't need another center). And the first doesn't do much for us.

1) how come you’re always down on Dach making the team this year. What do you see that some don’t?

2) this puts Toronto in more cap hell next year with having to give Strome money and Saad still on the hook for $6M. Though that’s Dubas’ problem not ours.

3) not enough people are talking about a buyout of Maatta. If he sucks this year he can be bought out for $680k/year x4 years. That’s super reasonable. And if we can sneak Seabrook to Seattle that fixes a lot of problems in the next 2 years and clears spots for our big 3 D prospects and allows them to keep Murphy. He’s serviceable IMO and likely better than replacement but admittedly I haven’t checked stats.
