MTL declines not close IMO
Mete is our only good LHD and he is 21 years old. Gallagher is a 30 goal scorer and the leader of this team.
And in return we get shattenkirk (he doesnt play in the lineup at RHD we have weber, Petry, Julsenn). Anderson is interesting but his value right now is not hight and we have guys like Poehling,Kk, Suzuki at same position/age.
Buch would be Gallagher replacement and younger but we just lost our #1 RW and Buch is more a #2-3. Lack of understanding the need of MTL even if the value is maybe there (triing hard to stay objective )

Buchnevich would be an immediate upgrade over Gallagher much higher ceiling. NYR get trade raped here.

So basically a Giant cap dump, a bust who could maybe be a 3rd line C, Buchnevich, and a 2nd. So basically less than the value of Buchnevich for Gallagher & Mete (to make up for the negative value of Shattenkirk). As much as I like Buchnevich, no chance the habs do this. Also Gallagher is untouchable.

Gallagher : 2017-2018 82 games 31 goals 23 assists 54 pts. 2018-2019 82 games 33 goals 19 assists 52 pts.
Buchnevich : 2017-2018 74 games 14 goals 29 assists 43 pts. 2018-2019 64 games 21 goals 17 assists 38 pts.
+ When he is not scoring, Gally is still very useful and bring something to the game. IDK if you can say the same about Buch.
Objectivity is hard when you are a hockey fan but Gally is better than Buch right now.
