Why force a trade, go get Zucker

They didn’t give Simmonds $5M to play on the fourth line

He'll see reduced minutes at even strength. Maybe not on the fourth line, but I'm quite sure we won't see him the whole season in our top 6.

If Simmonds is not in the Top 6, who is the 2nd line right winger? Boqvist? Lotta hype, let's see him play one game first.

Simmonds might be the obvious one at the moment for that RW spot on the second line. But we do have some other options as well. My choise would be:

Hall - Hischier - Bratt
X - Hughes - Palmieri

Mr. X could be a new aquisition, it could be Boqvist (he played LW in SWE), Zacha, Coleman or even Simmonds.

A Zucker trade is much more of a force. Fenton said he wouldn't trade Zucker just for the sake of trading him. Vegas has much more urgency to get a deal done

They are paying him $5M because the PP was awful last year, and Simmonds is the best net-front PP guy in the NHL. They are paying him $5M on a one year deal because this season is make-or-break, and is the last season where the cap won't be an issue

He's tried three times to trade Zucker, Fenton can say whatever he wants.
